Securing a profile

To create a profile on our Site and to use the Services, you first must provide us with your firm's name, an email address, and a mobile telephone number. To secure your profile, we will send a verification email to the email address you provide. We will send you a verification code to the mobile telephone number to enable multi-factor authentication. You will be asked to provide a password for logging into your account on our Site, but we do not have access to this password.

Creating an account

To create a deposit or credit account with a depository financial institution using our Site and the Services provided thereon, you must provide your firm's complete legal name, the state of organization, the type of organization, the employer or taxpayer identification number, and email and physical addresses. You must also provide the following information concerning any beneficial owners of your firm:

  • First and last names
  • Taxpayer identification numbers (or passport information for non-U.S. citizens)
  • Dates of birth
  • Physical and email addresses

Verifying your identity

To verify your identity, we will request access to your camera and ask you to provide a photograph of your driver's license.

Receiving services

To start receiving our Services, you may choose to link your external financial account using Plaid Inc. ("Plaid"), a third-party financial data aggregation provider.

By linking your financial account, you authorize Crescent and Plaid to access, retrieve, and process information from your financial institution on your behalf.

The information obtained through Plaid may include:

  • Financial institution name
  • Account name
  • Account ownership
  • Account type
  • Account number
  • Routing number
  • Account balances
  • Transaction history
  • Other financial account information necessary to provide the Services

We use this information to:

  • Verify your identity and ownership of linked accounts
  • Facilitate payments and funds transfers
  • Authenticate your financial accounts
  • Detect and prevent fraud
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
  • Provide, maintain, and improve our Services

By linking your financial account, you consent to Crescent and Plaid collecting, using, transferring, storing, and processing your information as necessary to provide the Services. Your use of Plaid is also subject to Plaid's Privacy Policy.

Information as you navigate our Site and Services

We automatically collect the following information when you use the Site:

Usage information. We collect information such as which pages on the Site and App you access, the frequency of access, and what you click on.

Device information. We collect information about the device you are using, such as hardware model, operating system, application version number, and browser.

Mobile device information. In addition to the Device Information listed above, when you access our Site or App via a browser on your mobile device, we collect and aggregate information about whether you are accessing the Site or App via a mobile device or tablet, device type, and carrier.

Location information. We collect location information from Site visitors on a city-regional basis.

By using our Services and linking a financial account, you authorize the transfer of your information to Plaid for these purposes. Plaid processes your information in accordance with its own Privacy Policy.
  • To service providers who prepare, deploy, and analyze advertising content.
  • To the extent required by law, for legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings, and to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights, including providing information to others for fraud prevention.

We use Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to enable you to securely connect your external financial accounts to Crescent.

When you choose to link an external financial account, you authorize Plaid to access information from your financial institution on your behalf and to share that information with Crescent.

Information obtained through Plaid may include:

  • Account ownership information
  • Account and routing numbers
  • Account balances
  • Transaction history
  • Financial institution information
  • Other financial account information necessary to provide our Services

Crescent uses information received through Plaid to:

  • Verify your identity
  • Authenticate linked financial accounts
  • Facilitate payments and funds transfers
  • Support fraud detection and risk management
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
  • Improve and maintain our Services

By linking your financial account and using our Services, you authorize Crescent and Plaid to collect, use, transfer, store, and process this information as necessary to provide the Services.

Plaid's collection and use of your information is governed by Plaid's own Privacy Policy.

4. "Do not track" signals

Some internet browsers incorporate a "Do Not Track" feature that signals to websites you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked.

Because there is no uniform way that browsers communicate the "Do Not Track" signal, the Site does not currently interpret, respond to, or alter its practices when it receives "Do Not Track" signals.
